Why we're still obsessed with Ash's weight?

Why is everyone talking about Aishwarya's weight again? Because of this picture, her new ad campaign for Kalyan Jewellers, in which the mother of nine-month old Aaradhya Bachchan looks lovely, but suspiciously slim.

Aishwarya, hair tumbling and eyes raised soulfully in a wash of gold, looks significantly thinner than her full faced and figured appearance at the Cannes Film Festival just two months ago. Too thin, is the cry that has been raised by those who want to know if the most beautiful woman in the world has been helped out with a little photoshopping.

In this other image from the ad campaign, a lehenga and heavy duty jewellery disguise any plus-sized curves that Ash might still have. But her face has shrunk noticeably, making her look years younger.

Compare the new picures of Ash with this one. She wore a grey Elie Saab on the Cannes red carpet in May this year, with a huge smile and a carefree wave of her hand, unmindful of the fact that the dress clung to every plus size curve. Could she really have lost all that weight so quickly? If she has, then we – more Ash please.

Happy Independence day, says B-town

Mumbai, Aug 15 (IANS) Megastar Amitabh Bachchan rememberes soldiers who sacrificed their lives, while superstar Shah Rukh Khan urges people to be fearless and fight for their rights on the 66th Independence Day Wednesday.

Tinsel town heroes also wished their fans a "peaceful" and "prosperous" day through tweets.

The Salman Katrina love saga

They are not dating anymore, but Salman says that it is very easy to fall in love with Katrina.

There is always a certain amount of curiosity when it comes to Salman's marriage. Even though he has been linked to many, including Katrina, he still remains a bachelor. So, naturally there was a buzz when the initial trailer of the movie 'Ek Tha Tiger' had Kats character ask Salman why he was not getting married. And naturally, when this was one of the questions they had to face when they met the media for a promotional event of the movie.

Salman was dressed in a tattered jeans and blue shirt and Kat wore a dress which was pretty. “We can’t be a real life couple,” he said, even as he praised her: “You can fall in love (with her) not only on screen but off screen too. That’s why people love Katrina, and follow her in hordes wherever she goes.”

“I think no one except Salman should decide at what age he wants to get married", said Katrina

There were reports that Salman would get married to Katrina while they were dating

However, it was not to happen. The duo who broke up still maintain a cordial relationship

Katrina has been spotted at some parties that Salman has thrown. They will be seen together in Ek Tha Tiger.

On a serious note, Khan recalled, "I remember many years ago, when Sanjay Leela Bhansali was discussing Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, I thought that this movie might not work as the lead characters were people in their 40s but I guess at that time, we were not matured or grown up. She looked svelte, and smart in well-cut beige pair of trousers, and a white top, quite different from her sari-clad character in her much awaited comeback film.

The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions immediately after its world premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in its prestigious gala section.

The festival runs through 6 -16th September, 2012. The film also stars French actor Mehdi Nebbou, Adil Hussain, and Priya Anand. Amitabh Bachchan will be doing a cameo in the Hindi version since he is Balki's lucky mascot.
